Hi, my name is Kaiserin, or Kais as everyone calls me. I am hoping to upload some of my short stories onto this website and I hope you will be able to comment please! My name stands for Empress in German, incase you thought my name was slightly unusual. Even my teachers still spell it and pronounce it wrong! But you know, what I love about my fabulously unique name is that when people say your name sarcastically or are being nasty to me, either to my face or behind my back, they are all calling me Emperess, a high title indeed!
My favourite authors have to be Kate Cann for her set of three books entitled, "Diving In, In the Deep End, and Sink or Swim." These books made me cry at the end and that is what I liked about them. They stir up real emotions and make you truly remember the story. These kind of books inspire me. I also like Louise Rennisons books about Georgia Nicholson as they make me laugh. I think the first book I truly enjoyed when I was younger would have been the "Magic Faraway Tree" by Enid Blyton. I have steadily collected her books since I was about 7/8 and continue to do so. I have hundreds now!

Virginia Andrews books. She has a very sad theme to most of her books, and you just know nothing is going to go right at the end. Or at any of that time. I mean, one book she write was Web Of Dreams. It was abouta young girl whos moher divorces her fabulous father and she is forced to go and live in this millionaires house. He is fixated with her, although she is only 13. He becomes sexually obsessed with her and her mother does not believe her. He rapes her a few times and she ends up pregnant. Her mother still does not believe her. I will not tell you whathappens in the end but it was a very touching, moving book.
Scott Westerfeld and his fabulous 'trilogy' of four books, Uglies, Pretties, Specials and the one a few years later, Extras. The first one tells you of how life is set out in the time centuries after us. We are referred in the book as Rusties. The Ugies are those who look normal, and grow up normally. When you reach the age of sixteen you are automatically allowed to 'become a pretty.' This is when they have a surgical operation to make themselves look gorgeous, basically how they desire to look. Then if you keep playing tricks and continually defy the Special Circumstances people you can become a Special. It is an absolutely fabulous set of books and I am loving them! I am half way through Extras at the moment, so I will write about that when it is finished!!!!
Kate Cann books. What can I say? These are soooooooooo good. I remember reading her set of three, mentioned at the top of this page and thinking about them for days afterwards. It is about a girl, Collete, and meeting this boy Art. She falls madly in love, and knows she loves him. It is an intense deep passionate affair, and so detailed. It is fabulously written, and I love it. If you want a romantic, yet troubled relationship to read about read this.
This is one of my favourite parts of the book;
"Something had happened to me. Something had got hold of me, something so strong and fierce it was always with me, even in the bad times, even when I was fed up. It was wanting Art, wanting only to be with him. I'd been crazy enough about him at the start but this was different. My self-protectiveness had gone. I was getting deeper and deeper in."
