Call me Bryan (thanks, Herman).
I'm a writer, or trying to be one, clacking away at my beautiful 60's style Swedish typewriter that I got as a Christmas present from my girlfriend. What a lucky guy.
Anyway, I write because I love doing it. I love the sound of progress that comes out when I type, I love seeing the skeleton of stories and characters form in my head and on the page, I love how everything seems to connect at some point in the writing process (ideas you discarded or gave cursory attention to earlier can come back in full force later), and most of all I love the way words sound in certain combinations, weird combinations that don't make sense logically but make sense rhythmically and bring a certain picture to the reader's mind, like telepathy.
Man, do I love it. So, if you're reading one of my stories and you stumble across a word that makes you think "hmmm...I don't think that's a real word,", just go with it. I probably did it intentionally just because I like the way it sounds and I think it's something a character or the narrator would say. Weird words, weird syntax, weird plots and situations, I love it all.
Criticism and comments, I also appreciate. Lay 'em on me. Lay 'em thick. I can handle it. If you don't like something, tell me. I might not CHANGE it, but I'll take a look at it. The more I write, the more I become a fan of revision, second drafts, third drafts, re-writes, re-frames, re-POVs, re-imaginings...it's exciting, and it opens up so many doors. So please, comment and let me know what you think.
So there.

If you have not already done so, I would suggest you take a peek into this group and see how this process works. http://storywrite.com/group/info/New+members+group
