I want to read a story about something that will affect me strongly and make me want to read more. It should be written with rich description and should be overflowing with emotions of any sort, whether it's euphoric, depressed, furious, or whatever! I want you to make me feel like I am the main character. I want you to make me feel however your protagonist is feeling. Brownie points for any stories that may make me side with the bad guy.
Rules:
1. All entries must have proper grammar. I have stressed this in contests time and time again, but I always get at least one entry that is all bent out of shape. I will give a fair warning the first time, but if I come back to the entry within a few days and see that it still has not been corrected, then I will delete it. I am tired of saying this over and over again.
2. Poetry is allowed, but it must be more than 10 lines.
3. Erotica is okay, but I am not very into that kind of stuff, so it is advised against. It would take a great plot and a VERY good writer to make me feel so strongly affected by an erotica story.
4. To prove that you have read these rules, write "Purple pigs fly in Texas" in your author notes. There's not any particular reason I am doing this... I just think it will be hilarious. XD
5. Prewrites are allowed, as long as they follow these rules and fit the basis of the contest. If you enter anything that goes against the main category for this contest, you will be disqualified. End of story.
6. Most of all, HAVE FUN! Now get writing.
READ THIS OR RISK BEING DISQUALIFIED: I am not going to repeat myself any longer. I will give all entries with improper grammar 24 hours to correct their flaws or I am deleting them from my contest. I will send this to all unlucky entries who decided to enter my contest without proper English. I have had it with being the little grammar Nazi.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 30
- Rewards: Gold: 150, Silver: 50, Bronze: 25, Honorable mention: 5 people
- Final notes: It's always so hard to decide which entries are the best. I always have a finalist's list that seems way too long, so it takes forever just to decide which entry should go where. Seriously, it kills me to see a really good story get nothing when I know it deserves so much more. But hey, at least I try. It's all in the joy of writing, right?
Anyway, thank you all for entering. Sometimes it's so surprising just thinking of how many great writers there are on this site who have never been published. Life is just not fair, is it? But then again, that's the best part.
Thanks again! I love you all.

Enter anything you like, as long as it follows the rules. Just pick whichever one of your stories makes you feel the most emotional and enter that one. I mean, it couldn't hurt to try, right?
