The Three Options

The Three Options

by SGS

Option Number One-

Stories which show vampires as they were originally intended to be-monsters of the unknown. Romance is a no-no. Please don't give me stories about how a human was converted into a vampire. Show Bram Stoker your talent.

OR

Frankestein or any other invention-that-went-wrong. Must be a living invention.

Option Number Two-

Surreal Worlds

I had seen a lovely film called Nemo:The Dream One starring Harvey Keitel where this little boy called Nemo gets transported to a world which is almost barren(save for a small pond with some undergrowth around it) and also has a big river/sea kind of waterbody. It only has a handful of inhabitants-of which only one is the actual habitant of the country, the rest have ended up due to different circumstances. Though the visuals were out of a fairytale, the storyline had very dark undertones involving concepts like greed and murder. I missed the beginning of the movie, but I absolutely loved it.

I want a story about a very such world which is beautiful despite not having anything of much beauty, and which is also really, really creepy to the reader.

Option Number Three-

A combination of the above options

Rules

i)No poems, vignettes. Only stories, novellas, and prologues or first chapters.
ii)Don't give me the second chapter of a story or the eighth chapter. Only the first chapter or the prologue

iii)No stories labeled 'Adult'

iv)Minimum-500 words
Maximum-23000 words

Have a nice time!

  • I don't know if this is what you're looking for. Probably not, but at least I gave it a shot, right?

  • What's a "Living Invention?"

  • Question Regarding First Option

Can the story, novella, or first chapter be through the eyes of a human or must they be from a vampire's? I just need to be sure to see just where the guidelines fall so I can get started.
