Right let's get this get this bit out of the way: This won't be easy.
Now, since my last contest was so enjoyable and I had such a good time reading, commenting and judging on fantastic entries, I've decided to hold another and this is a contest which I don't see many of on SW: Space Opera's and Sci-Fi stories.
I want you to make your imagination run riot. Grab that darn pen and notepad cos' like me you'll need one if you're going to write one of these stories. I WANT THE FIRST CHAPTER of your new story, I want you to write a new novel and post the first chapter right here. That way, you're guaranteed a comment and given a head start of some sort.
So what's a space opera? Star Wars is one, Star Trek is another good example, I want your stories to be as good as they are. I want all those species of aliens, all those rich in detail characters, I want space epics, I want to see what you can give me in your first chapter. Entice me, make me want to be a part of your new galaxy where what happens is up to you. Don't be afraid of trying new things out, this is your first chapter and you need to be serious, you need to have the 'cojones' to write this out as a fully-chaptered novel.
Give me the start of an epic journey. I'm waiting, bring it on.
