In four days my summer vacation is going to begin. I need something to keep me company during the long summer months, as I will be online for long, long periods of time. The desire to hold a contest was gnawing at me, so I decided to hold a 20 options Summer Bonanza Contest.
There are ten options for those who want to enter prewrites, and ten options for those who are willing to write new stories.
Now here are the 10 options for prewrites(Scroll down for the new write options)
1: Write either a story about someone who's an outcast, or a story about someone's who's totally popular.
For the record, I am absolutely not accepting
1)Homosexual outcasts. I
2)'Nerdy' or 'unpopular' outcasts
I want something fresh, original and free from all cliches. If you have guessed what I exactly want, good for you.
2: A touching story. For the record,
i)I like stories that make me feel sorry for the villian(There was a contest by WritersEffigy about this, I think)
ii) If that story is repeated twenty thousand times, you don't have a chance
iii)And for goodness's sake, don't give your character cancer. That's the most horribly cliched death.
3: A story about a psychopath. For the record, no
i) Joker fanfictions/ripoffs
ii) Falling in love with the cute psychologist/ counsellor/news reporter
4: A story about a conflict between career and love.
5: A comedy about a simpleton
6: A story set in a really beautiful world...the imagery should be breathtaking. It should make me wish I could travel to that world.
7: A Twilight fanfiction-about Renesme or Leah. I don't want an epic about Bella and Edward, they've got four books dedicated to them already, right?I'd like a Edward standalone though-and it should have a storyline, not random musings about Bella.
Also, I don't like Jacob a lot either. The cruel side of me loves Rosalie.
OR
A Darren Shan fanfiction-about Mr. Crepsley, or Mr. Tiny
OR
A fanfiction that explains the picture after the last chapter of The End by Lemony Snicket.
8: A story about a person suffering from autism
9: A romance-
i)No forbidden romance
ii) No erotic romance
iii) Maybe vampire romance
iv) Definitely not werewolf romance
Also, your making the hero's fiancee this Prada-loving, bimbette, cruel stepmother type is not going to justify him running away to his ex wife/best friend on the wedding day. Vice versa for heroines.
I want complex romances, or romances which make you empathize with the character's problems, and stories unheard of.
10-A story about unrequited love.(I might be strict on this one)
New Write Options
Lines to be included in the story
1: "Epidemics of the worst kind are attacking our society..."
2: "It's like, I'm just this weapon that's grown old with time."
3: "I don't use fairness creams or cosmetics."
4: "Maybe, if I killed you, I might regret it. I don't know."
Lines to start the story
5: "Aaron is coming to town!"
6: "The moon smiled upon me, I glared at him."
7: "Fate is cruel, but what can you do?"
8: "I didn't want to eat pizza, but the temptation of extra cheese persecuted me."
Titles for the Story
9) Spell
10) Chaos
No stories labeled 'Adult'. All profanity must be censored, there should be no erotica, and keep any above 18 stuff in general to the barest minimum.
I will be lenient with grammar and spelling, but if you mess up at the basic places, I'll go Vesuvius on you.
I will try not to be angry if you goof up, but that depends on the quality of your story. It will be given less preference to those who followed the rules though.
If your story wins gold,it will be spotlighted. If the silver, bronze, and honorable mentions are good, I might spotlight them too. Of course, it will only be a nomination, but yeah, you can expect your story on the front page.
Write your option (just a brief description eg. 'Romance')and 'Summer Bonanaza' in your A/N. If you want to enter my contest, you MUST update your A/N
I promise to be lenient to the following
1)Stories which have not won trophies
2)New stories
3)Stories between the word limit of 1000 and 1200 words
4)Stories by those who are new on the site
5)Stories which I've never read before
6)G-rated and PG-13 stories
If your story adheres to one of the following qualities, write 'Leniency' in your A/N too.
If you are an exceptional writer, I am willing to make concessions(as per the amount of points I earn commenting).

The funny thing is, Author's Notes are called that because they are for notes relating to a story. If they were for contest notes, don't you think they'd be called Contest Notes?
I added a note to my story, but since you missed it (all those author's notes I suppose), I went back and bolded/underlined the option. It is the only 'contest' note in the Notes area, so there is no need to repeat the name of the contest (since that is already listed with all the other contests). -

I seriously loathe the whole "put blah in AN", deal. I can understand when an option is needed, but I'd much rather put it down here than in the AN.

I chose a "beautiful world". You'll see it as you read..
