Horror/Thriller/Suspense stories!

I have yet to read a good story lately. I enjoy horror/thriller/suspense stories, but with substance. If you add psychological issues into your story I will mentally give you brownie points, (meaning your more likely to be given a winners position).

Ex:
In the movie "Dead Silence" ...
a ventriloquist gets revenge on everyone in the town because she was ridiculed and laughed at.

psychological- the hurt she felt turns to rage, and causes everyone else to suffer.

Rules
1) A word limit of under 3000 words please
2) the most obvious, must be a "horror/thriller/suspense" style story
3) pre-writes are allowed
4) besides the style its written, your subject is limitless
5) the darker and more gore, the better
6) try and scare me (and good luck)

I write this genre well, but none of my pieces are under 3000 words. I am going to enter the one that fits the contest exactly, but it is 4200 words. Before you jump up and down and complain, please read it. If it bores you (trust me, it won't), just DQ it.

    • Ok Ill let that slide. Im not TOO picky about word length, I just dont really like extremely long entries. Ill be glad to read it regardless. =)

  • sorry this is taking so long to end, ive been really busy lately. itll be wrapped up within the next few days.

  • Hi!

Thanks so very much for the bronze trophy and points. I appreciate them. I'm very pleased you like my story. I'm glad your contest was a success.

    Thanks for hosting.
