The Pulitzer Prize

                                     The Pulitzer Prize

Ever heard of it? Well, here on StoryWrite I'm doing my own version of this prestigious literary award. All you have to do is present me with your most famed works of fiction...The story you're most proud of. That's it, simple and easy. Right?

Here are the basic rules:

1. Must be fiction

2. Minimum of 800 words and maximum of 4,000. Non-negotiable. Go over this amount--even by one word--I'll DQ you. Don't test me.

3. Must have good grammar...I will not read something that sounds like a first-grader wrote it.

4. While pre-writes are allowed, I'd appreciate it if new stories were entered. *automatic brownie points*

5. Final but most important rule, must be captivating. I don't want to be bored out of my mind.

So there you have it, get started everyone. There are BIG points involved.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on February 28
  • Rewards: Gold: 1150, Silver: 550, Bronze: 250, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
Hey everyone, thanks for entering my contest. The contestant with the gold trophy won the Pulitzer Prize. Congratulations, you're a renowned author now!
As for the others--especially the ones who didn't make it in the finalists list--you did well. While some stories were exceptionally well written, the ones that spoke the most to me prevailed.
    Ciao!

I'd love to, but I'm unfortunately long-winded; the stories I am most proud of are beyond the word limit.
