Okay, this is the semi-finals! Getting closer and closer to the nail-biting round of the finals......I hope it's at least a little exciting anyway!
Seeing as there was such a lot of options and differences last round, I thought it would be interesting to this time have something quite hard, but still with a lot of scope.
So....
You must write a play!
It can be about any subject, any genre, anything at all, as long as.....
1. You write it with a moral message of some kind. It can be funny, serious, horrendous, anything at all, but make it something you feel strongly about.
2. I want you to make me agree with you. Make it so that I feel emotions so strong I cry, or laugh out loud, or am sitting on the actual edge of my seat. Make me understand why this means so much to you.
3. I won't include the usual rules of spelling and grammer, I like to think you understand all that if you're in this round
However, the minimum word count must be 1000 words, which is fairly short for a play, but I would like it to be much longer (but not epic long!
)
And that's it! Go and have fun. (and just send me an IM if you have any questions)
****MAJOR NOTE**** At least three people have now entered who were not in EITHER of the two previous contests preceding this one. Please note, if you were not asked by IM to enter, then you cannot enter, I'm afraid.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 23
- Rewards: Gold: 180, Silver: 90, Bronze: 60
- Final notes: Well, it's over....in the way that you wish Celine Dion songs would be over... (no offence, just a joke )
I can't pretend I wasn't a little disappointed, but I do understand that this was a harder task, and you all have other priorities too, so it's really disappointment at myself for not coming up with a better contest
Anyhoo, I really enjoyed reading the three entries in the contest, and it took me a while to decide how to sort them, but here it is.
I'll be doing the next section of the contest very soon, with a better idea!

Never written a play!
. I may give this a try if I have time, but I may not have the time. If I start working on a play, I'll let you know. If I don't enter, it's just because I don't have time right now to try to conquer play writing.

Well I hope you do have, I would love to read your entry! Also, the contest will be open for a month (not two weeks as I'm only allowed to put), so you have a little more time if you still want to

I've started,
but I have a lot of things going on right now. I hope I'm able to finish before the contest closes.

Well I'm going to be keeping it open till March 31st, so you have a lot of time still yet
I just wish I could put the contest end date further than two weeks!

Ohhhhhh. Epic, a play.
I've been told I'd be quite good at scriptwriting, so this should be fun. I've started writing a few, but never seriously tried to finish one. Now's my chance.

-
It certainly is! I look forward to seeing your entry!

I've only ever written a handful of plays - and only a couple were acted out, but that was way back in high school.
I guess now is a good time to drag them out, have a look, and hope I'm not too rusty to write another.

-
Well, I'd love to see what you can enter

I've never written a play, but I'll be sure to give it a try. It is unlikely though, that I would have it finished in 13 days...
-
-
Don't worry, the contest will be open longer, it's just that I can only set it for a maximum of two weeks away, but it will be open longer

I'm glad that you said that! lol I am so excited. At first I thought the prospect of writing a play to be a bit daunting, but now that I have completed the hard part (developing the plot, and all the inside goodies) I think I may very well be able to present to you a satisfactory piece!

This should be a bit of a challenge for all of us.
Which is good, puts us on a fairly even playing field I suppose. *is still trying to work out a good plot* Might have one, gotta run with it and see if it flies...

Yes, that it does put us all on even ground. Gotta love competition!
Good luck with developing your plot, I'm sure it will be interesting!

A play :S
Lol I have never written a play, but I think I will give it a try. I'm not sure how good the quality of the piece will turn out, but if I can find the time I will give it a shot.

Sheesh, not many entries for this. :S

Hi Ms. Wolf!
Thanks for the bronze trophy and points. I especially appreciate it as I have a shortage of bronze trophies.
Sorry you couldn't get more entries, but being at the bottom of the list, I guess it was lucky for me.
Thanks for hosting.

You might be disappointed, but I enjoyed the challenge of writing something completely different, and it was fun having a contest on a level playing field.
Thank you for the gold.
If you ever get time, I'd love to know what you actually thought, however harsh.
