I don't want your typical hot, loving and courageous hero ala Harry Potter or something.
I want a hero who is not a villian, but has certain villainous characteristics or other negative qualities.
For example in the Bengali tragedy 'Devdas'. You do feel quite sorry for Dev, but there's no disputing-he was a great coward and an even greater alcoholic.
Another example is in the tragic movie Baazigarr, where despite being a genuinely loving and caring person, the lead character murders his nemesis' daughter even though she had no hand in what her father did to his family. He even fools her sister, though he falls for her later.
Rules
1:I will be lenient with grammar but strict with spelling
2: PlEaSE no TyPiNG like THiS. No chat speak either.
3*: Realistic Characters
4:The character must be a male, and fit my description of a tragic hero. The latter quality is left to my own judgement however.
5:Brownie points for adding a psychological angle. Major brownie points for making it as gut wrenching as possible without using too much gore or violence.
6:I can handle anything, but no Adult labels please. Be as subtle as possible.
Thank you!

Matt's Sacrifice
Hey, I hope I didn't miss any errors. I'm not that good about looking for errors on a computer screen and my printer was out of oh-so-expensive ink so...
And a little side note by the way, I read the description of this contest and thought "Hancock" . I haven't heard of either of the examples but Hancock is what came to mind for me just fyi. -
-
You can proofread your stories using Microsoft Word. But it's so freaking annoying when your spelling is different from the american ones.
I haven't seen Hancock, so no comments. -
Can you please remove Matt's Sacrifice? It's Adult, so I can't read it. Sorry.
Thank you for entering anyways

Do you mean like 'Dexter'? I'd say he's got some very strong villainous characteristics.
I'll see what I can come up with; sounds like a challenge! *rubs hands together eagerly*

-
Nah...Dexter was cute.
I'm waiting...

Wow! Thank you so much for the trophy, the points...and for enjoying my story, of course!
