I don't know if you've heard of the show, The L Word, but it's fantastic, and I think you should watch it. 
Anyways, this contest is inspired by that show, but also by life in general. (Hey, there's an "L Word" that you can use!) I want you to come up with an L word that means something to you. Not only does it mean something to you, it's one of the most important things to you. OR!!! You can write about an L word that has changed your life, either for the better or for the worse. ANYTHING CREATIVE! I want the focus of the piece to be about a specific word, or words.I want a lot of description, and I want creativity. You can use multiple L words and string them together, if you'd like. If you want to see an example of this, send me a note and I'll send you my example.

1. Use correct grammar, please. At the minimum, get your "you're, your" and "there, their, they're" right. Punctuate correctly. The whole nine.
2. Don't type like you're illiterate, please. ThAt MeAnS NoNe Of DiS.
3. At least 200 words, no more than 1200. I have a life, sorry.
4. Write the L word(s) you are using in your description thing.
5. PLEASE!!! I beg of you, be creative! Put emotion into it! Don't just say something like, "Love is important because if you don't have love, life sucks." Whatever, I don't want to hear stuff that is common knowledge. I want to feel like I'm inside of your head when I'm reading it, as though I can think your thoughts and see things differently and uniquely.
6. Have fun, obviously.

- Final notes: THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR ENTRIES! I really, truly enjoyed each and every one of them. Some of the entries didn't meet the rules requirements, which is why I didn't really comment on some of them. But, I did enjoy those that did, and the winners did a fantastic job of using description and unique styles of writing to entertain me and the other people who viewed those stories. Congratulations to the winners, and to everyone who entered, keep writing!!
