The most common perspective for stories is 3rd person. This is where the author views the main characters. Next, is 1st person. This is where the author is the main character. Then there is the 2nd person. One rarely finds fiction written from this perspective. 2nd person is where the author speaks to the reader, making them a character in the story. This happens by the author speaking to "You." That's what I want from you in this contest.

Wow, I've never written anything in 2nd person. If time permits, I think I'll have a go at it. Excellent idea for a contest.
-
omgosh i totally was going to write a story like thissss!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH I have to enter! just lemmme write something...
-
Mine is part 1 of like, 12 or so, but you can just judge it off the one if you want.
-
Poems okay?
-
-
Poems?
I'd prefer not. Unless they are in story form. The objective of the contest is to be able to write a story from a first person perspective while still remaining a 3rd person narrator... -
-
All poems are in story form, it's just less obvious. But what do you mean by third person narrator? It said nothing about that in the contest description. Do you mean like "He said you walked into the room" or what? How can the narrator possibly be described in third person?
-
-
sorry...
I had a rather confusing typo there... I mean like the narrator is not the character... keeping the first person perspective wile being the 2nd person... and about the poems... not ALL poems are stories... a lot of poems are orations... so if your poem has the reader as a character... then yes... if the poem just speaks to the reader... then no...
