So here is my idea. I have thought up a bunch of different weapons that could be used by themselves or in any combination, and I want you to write a story with them. The story must include at least one of the weapons, and the name of the weapon cannot be changed. I am not looking for a million word story, but I want more than 500 words. So here are the weapons:
Dark Scythe- rumored to have been torn form the hands of the Grim Reaper himself.
The Flailing Maul of the Innocent- forged form the blood of 1000 innocent people.
Flying Dagger of the East- rumored to have hidden powers that can only be used by those that know of them.
Sword and Shield of the Fallen King- taken form the grave of a
fallen king. Rumored to be possessed by his ghost.
Ax of Final Destruction- Legends say that this ax and its bearer will cut down the Tree of Life, which will cause the world to end.
Bow of the Half Blood- Will only fire for those with lineage both human and god.
Staff of Merlin- Legends say that Merlin often made his staff disappear, and he was often unable to make it reappear, leaving it hidden in places all around the realm.
You can add more weapons in your story, but it must include at least one of these, no exceptions. The weapon must be used in some way, and if it has a specific description you must follow that description, but you can bend the descriptions slightly. So let's review:
1)The story must include at least one of the weapons (more than one weapon can be used, you may add your own weapons as well)

7)No severe adult content/gay/bi content please. I have nothing against it, I just don't think it should be applied to these stories.
8)No bashing etc.
9) I also want you to write the name and description of the weapon(s) you chose in your AN.
10) At any time in the contest you want to add to or change your story, just message me so that I can read the new material.
11)I am now allowing 3 entries per person.
HINTS
-more weapons = more consideration
-in complete contrast to the first hint, do not try to just throw the weapons into your story randomly, they must flow into the plot nicely, so just because you have all the weapons doesn't mean you are automatically going to win., because chances are, unless you are a FANTASTIC writer, the story will not flow nicely.
-I love surprise twists, If any of you have read any of my stories will be able to tell how much I adore these.
-I also like personal sacrifice, I know it sounds kind of weird, but when the hero puts his (or her) life at risk for some sort of cause, it just stirs something up inside me.
- Using the weapons in a modern-day setting would be a very cool idea (wink, wink)

p.s. I am actually working on a piece that will include all of these weapons. That is basically why I started this contest, to give me some inspiration on possible connections. Don't worry I won't be stealing any of your ideas, I understand that they are yours, and yours alone. Your my inspiration, not my cheat sheet! I may send everyone my story if I complete it in a reasonable time.

Update!
I have a few updates for the contest now. I am now allowing multiple entries, up to 3 per person. You must put the names of your other entered stories in the AN.
I am adding this feature because I am adding another tip to the list. The new tip will be that using the weapons in a modern-day setting would be very interesting (wink, wink).
I would also like to add that if I tell you that you did not follow all of my rules etc. and you do not change it, or acknowledge that you are attempting to change it, within 3 days, your story WILL be DQ without hesitation.
To elaborate on rule number 3, the stories that I have received have been amazing, but some of the authors have said that they did not want to make it too long, so I am going to say that as long as the story will not take me more than an hour to read, it will be just fine.
And Finally, because of the obvious lack of interest in this contest I have now allowed prewrites. If people begin to dump stories that do not have anything to do with the prompts I will DQ all prewrites and no longer allow them. -
Can you please expand the ending date? I'm making changes to my story and still have to type up the rest.
