So, I've been trying to find a good horror book for quite a while, and since I can't, I've decided to see if there are people with minds similar to mine.
As the title says, blood sex and horror are definitely REQUIRED . I want a story, that is detailed enough that it has good setting imagery. Other than that, it's up to you. The more gruesome it is, the better you'll place. You can include any kind of creature you want, you can be as cruel, as disturbing and as violent as you see fit. Your characters have to show believable emotions and have believable reactions, weather pleasurable or painful. No, here are an overview of the rules i just listed.
Rules:
1)Anything goes.
2)Minimum of 2000 words.
3)Must include blood, sex and be 'horrific' in some way
4)Use your imagination; be as cruel, violent and disturbing as you need to be.
5)Must use details so I see the setting.
6)Emotions and responses have to be plausible (weather in pain or masochistic pleasure).

- Final notes: I had a lot of very good entries, most of them fulfilled my requirements, and i enjoyed reading all of them. I don't want to start a fight or anything , but that picture is repulsive. Of course the risk of any minor entering a contest like this one is minimal, and I understand that this site allows erotic and sex-related content, but that picture is bordering to porno. Not to mention that it is objectifying, and equally derogatory for males AND females. I'm not sure what kind of policy this site has concerning graphic erotic content, and it would be nice if anyone could enlighten me, but either way, please switch the picture to something more respectable.
Please note that I am in no way putting any equal sign between respectable and age-appropriate. That picture simply isn't the kind of picture I want to stumble upon in a context like this. -

Following these guidelines, the image used in the contest should be allowable - considering that the contest is tagged 'adult' and therefore no one under the age of 15 can view this page.
Might I point out the you exercised free will to click on a contest that used the keywords 'Blood, Sex, and Horror' - one would presume that if an image was going to be sighted, it would fit this theme.

However I feel that I should add that it is neither Blood, nor Sex, or Horror that offends me in the picture, I am perfectly fine with all of those. But the clothes, not to mention the chain the woman is wearing suggests (to me, at least) BDSM, which I feel automatically qualifies as softcore pornography when depicted in graphic form. The chain I see as a clear sign of sexual submission, which to me is quite degrading. And even though no sexual act is actually seen in the picture, I think that the upskirt angle really suggests that one is about to take place. -

I find it insulting to hear my consensual practices with my partner labeled "degrading," quite frankly. It may not be for you, but that doesn't make it wrong. If that isn't your thing, great, but I am not a predator nor an abuser. My partner, in fact, fled an abusive family to live with me. We use dominance/submission games in part as a way to help him *regain* his sense of self-control. He can choose to submit to me, or he can choose to dominate me. Sometimes it goes one way, sometimes the other way. And it often has absolutely no sexual content, context, or intent, either. But according to you, if we took a picture of me wearing a collar with him holding the leash -- both of us fully clothed -- and used it as a picture for a contest here on SW, say for a contest about non-erotic BDSM, it would be "softcore pornography"!
Our behavior in this regard is far from atypical. There are as many ways to engage in BDSM as there are people in the world. So again, please to not be painting us all with one brush. Thank you. -

Sorry, I hope you realize that It was not at all intending to offend anyone. To me the border between what is erotic and what is pornographic consists in that pornography depicts sex in a way that not everyone (who appreciates sex at all) can appreciate. As fetishes vary so greatly from person to person I'd say BDSM belongs to this category. I'm sure there are parts of my own sexual preferences that not everyone would like to see, and I'm perfectly fine with that. And of course it's the stereotype of female sexual submission that disturbs me, not the concept of sexual submission itself.
I still haven't found the part of my post where I label people who take part in BDSM as predators or abusers, but I'm very sorry if that was the impression you got.
As for the example you gave with the picture of you and your partner, I guess I have to admit that it does make my reasoning seem a little stupid. Perhaps my knowledge was (and is) insufficient to make a statement concerning the subject and I sincerely apologize.

I usually don't write actual *sex* so you got my only story that includes it. But my usual gorror is much gorier and more explicit. If you allowed multiple entries or entries that count penetrating someone's torso with a knife as "sex" (it was done for partly erotic purposes, after all... ) I could show you...
