Remembrance Day

So all, in the spirit of Remembrance Day, I want everything you've got.
War stories, remembering war stories, anything! I know that you may be tempted to write about a love that you remember--when I say remembering stories--but please keep it tied in with Remembrance Day! I suppose not every celebrates Remembrance Day as a country so I will explain. Remembrance Day is the specified day of the year (in Canada at least) on which we remember all the fallen soldiers in all the wars past. There are big ceremonies here as well as all across Europe. That is what I meant by Remembrance Day. I wanted a story either about Remembrance Day itself, or the past wars (WWI, WWII, The Korean War etc.) I apologize if I wasn't clear enough about what I wanted.

The rules are:
1)No FuNnY tYpInG!
2)Please please please edit! If something looks like it clearly has not been looked over at least once, I won't accept it.
3)Try hard with the grammer guys. It's painful to read otherwise.
Also try not to have too many spelling mistakes. If there are a few then not's too bad.

Other than that, please go wild! =D

Thanks for entering!

Hi all, sorry it took me so long to judge! I've been swamped with stuff and really busy. But anyway. Everything in this contest was really well written. For the finalists; I wanted to share the gold silvers and bronze between all of you because all of you wrote so well and so eloquently. Well, I'm not sure if my story is what you had in mind when you said "remembering" stories....so if it's not don't feel bad to DQ it
