Starting Small

For those that care little for rambling, please continue down to the rules or click away from this contest.

Previously, I had attempted something I thought rather challenging and (at least) different. It would seem I was over zealous in my creation; thus terminating it just recently. Hopefully, this second protegy will be a better canidate for a writer‘s palate.

As to those that truly despise rules and the number of rules I usually list, please do not leave brusque comments or PMs. I listed these rules so that the contestant will know what I hope for and expect from them. They are there as reminders that English is a language that should not be purposefully destroyed. (everyone may desimate it however they please in other contests)

I readily admit that I am a rather awful grammar student and my spelling is no where near perfect. I’ll even go so far as to say that my entire set of rules could be hypocritical in the worst of matters. That aside, I will not push the rules out the door simply because someone wishes to correct every little error I have made.

The rules will not be changed, altered or removed.

1. Grammar. Doesn’t have to be perfect.
2. Spelling. Same thing: doesn’t have to be perfect.
3. Conduct. Be polite and curteous. Do not bash.
4. Format. Chat lingo, all caps, etc are not welcome.
5. Coloring. I would like to read your work without destroying my eyes.
6. Author. I would like to know who wrote what. Please leave your username in author’s comment box.
7. Viewer Disgression. I will not read something that will keep me up at night screaming.
8. Length. Maximum of approximately 2000 words or about 3-4 pages. (in other words, don’t go writing a novel)
9. Prewrites. You may enter prewrites.
10. Chapters. I will not be accepting exceptionally long entries.
11. One Time. You are allowed to enter once, and only once.
12. Required Sections. You will need a total of 3 (three) characters listed.

Now, this contest will give you a quick list of characters. You have to create a story around them. The profiles are simple and you may add to them as you please. Do NOT alter what is provided.
