I've been craving love lately. Your task is to write me a storyabout it. Give me something spectacular and the points will go up. I want literary diamonds.
A few rules:
1. I'm a grammar and spelling nerd. Always assume there are errors and check your work. A few mistakes here and there won't hurt you, but don't make them a frequent spectacle.
2. Make your fonts legible. I have a hard time reading small print.
3. Be brilliant!
4. NO fanfictions!!!
Brownie points!
1. I love reading same sex romances. Especially if they are funny and sweet or dark and spooky or a combination of these.
2. A new twist on vampires.
3. Intelligent teenagers!
4. Anything with references to Cry Baby or any Tim Burton film (don't just mention them, but incorporate them into your characters or plotline). I also adore Rikki Lake!
5. My favorite authors are Tennessee Williams, Gregory Maguire, Rick Guy,
Harper Lee, and Agatha Christie, among others.
6. Prewrites are nice but writing something brand new is excellent. It makes me think you put more thought into this.
6. I love reading nonfiction love stories that focus of homosexuality.
7. I love reading about characters who are also writers.
Again, as more enter I will raise points and add more places (up to seven including HM).

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on November 16, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 150, Silver: 100, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: This was terribly difficult. I couldn't decide between about eleven-thirteen people for the places but it happened. Somehow.
Everyone did a wonderful job and I hope you all keep writing and improving your talents! I'm pretty sure I'll read future developments of a lot of these stories (if there are other developments I mean). Thank you all so much for entering and dealing with my comments. I know that they can get pretty long and sometimes a little bit rude...
Congratulations to:
First place: Strong on the Surface
Second place: a love story?
Third place: Romancing the Stoned
Honorable Mention: View from an Outsider
Honorable Mention: The Center of the Universe
Honorable Mention: Dark Angel of Life
Honorable Mention: Grey (Part 1- Journal)
Thanks again and congratulations to everyone!
Aelphaba
