Well, this is my second contest.
Why do people always mention that? It doesn't really matter, or impact anything, and, yet, here I am.
Mentioning it.
I digress.
As the title of the contest implies, I want your stories about creation.
Your creation.
How the world, or, if you're feeling up to a challenge, universe, came into being.
This is a very simple contest.
What I do not want: Stories that are not about the creation of earth.
Stories that are about (1) Evolution, (2) big Bang (3) Or any of the other theories about how we came into existence.
I want it to be your story, I want it to be original.
Brownie points (honestly, I'm not just using the phrase, I will actually send you points) for people who use extreme creativity/originality.
Now, does this mean you cannot write a story about everything evolving from a small squid floating in grape jelly outside the milky way? No.
You simply cannot copy the theory of evolution too closely. Simple enough? And, when I say the creation of earth, I'm speaking about animals and humans as well.
Not just nature.
I also don't want stories about how you actually think the world came into being, just your own personal version. If you honestly believe that your picture of it is in fact the acurate version, more power to you.
So, heres what I'm looking for:
Vivid Descriptions. This story is all about descriptions, don't ruin it.
Creativity/Originality. This doesn't mean you have to write something wacky, you can take a basic creation myth and just make it your own. As long as it is, your own.
So, rules.
1 Put your screen name in the authors box.
2 I am allowing prewrites, but if I get a lot of entries that don't apply, that option will disappear.
3 Proper english and grammar, please.
4 Be polite. No bashing God or Evolution or any other belief.
5 If you want to put erotica in your story, be my guest. But please label it correctly so the kiddies cannot look at what they need not see.
6 It would be appreciated if you would smile for the camera.
I believe that is it.
So, paint me a moving, beautiful picture about this dear earth we all cherish so very much.
Go.
Write.
Enjoy.

To be honest, the world was not created. It was there, but it was just a rock. A very big rock to be exact. Well, there was a race of people, Granites, who as a hobby would make worlds inhabitable.

Genesis chapter one sums it up pretty well.
-
-
Yes, it does.
However, genesis chapter one is fairly brief,
and not very poetic.
I'm looking for something a bit more vivid in
it's descriptions.
Care to enter? -

Heh, true that.
Alas, I've not the time to write anything new at the moment, so I'm gonna have to decline this one.
Hope you get some good stories.

A shame.
I would have enjoyed reading something of yours.
but, It's more then likely I'll get over it.
Thanks. We'll see. ~:} -

Mmm. I'd love to have more time. But life, ya know?
If I wrote something it'd probably have ended up a satire which wouldn't have been popular with anyone who holds to an evolutionist point of view, haha.
So prolly a good thing I'm not going to. xD

Awesome Picture, I'll try to enter something

I just can't do this one. Eather i'd write the genesis story over again or I'd write CS Lewis' version over again. Eather way you don't want to read it. It's a cool idea though, and I hope my friend wins
