Right, so, this is my first contest, and I'm very excited, yay, et cetera.
I want your best piece of speculative fiction--that is, science fiction, fantasy, horror, and anything else that fits (even loosely) under that umbrella.
I am busier than I like to be, so I'm requesting that entries be kept under 5k words. You can enter works that are over that, but unless they're spectacular, I probably won't finish them.
Notwithstanding the above, I will read and comment on every entry.
This contest, as all contests, will be subjective, based on what I like. I am open to most kinds of stories.
Right. Rules:
1. Good spelling and grammar. If you're going to use sentence fragments like I just did, at least know that they're sentence fragments.
2. No erotica of any kind. Sexual overtones are fine, but erotica either bores or disgusts me, usually both.
3. There are a lot of other rules I could add, but they boil down to, Use Good Judgment. I will DQ you if you're a jerk.
