A group of us have gathered together with the intention of trying to publish a collection of stories from Storywrite. If you feel that you have a story of exceptional merit, please consider entering this contest.
If you entered the previous contest, please do not enter this one unless you feel you have a story that is better than the one you entered before. If you enter the same story, it will be removed.
This publication will be sold at cost, so there will be no royalties. You will retain all rights to your stories, however; some publishers may consider this publication the exercising of first serial rights. If you have questions, please message me.
The purpose of this publication is to give you a tangible product of your work which will also be made available to you, the general public, and members of Storyright at cost. The book will probably consist of about 500 pages in a paperback format.
Rules:
Stories must be 4,000 words or less.
G or GP rated. Adult topics are fine, but the stories must not be restricted to adults only.
Carefully proofed.
High quality.
Entering and placing in this contest does not guarantee being published in the book.
Stories which do not meet the expectations of quality in content and grammar may be removed from the contest.

I wish you success. I'll give your story a thorough going over.

Not sure what G or GP rated means, as my submission has some swearing in it. Let me know if I should withdraw it. Are they USA ratings?
-
-
Hi
G is general audience, GP is general audience with parental guidance. Profanity is acceptable as long as it is not excessive, no explicit sex, gore may be restricted. If we like a piece, we can edit, but we're only going to publish one story per author. You're welcome to submit additional stories, but Barking Dog is probably already on the inside track.
