ALRIGHT. Simplest new-write (fine, pre-writes okay too) contest EVER.
Write me a story, whatever length, whatever time period, whatever type of story, etc. It only needs to consist of one of two things-
1. Symbols
2. Melancholy
If it has both, then that's better for you. (If you need an idea of what I'm talking about, read my story "Boiled Peanuts" or something like Gary Alexander's story "Palisades Park.")
Once again, it can be long, short, coarse, sweet, simple, complex, anything that you feel is appropriate. The only thing that matters is the feeling you impart. Message me if you have questions. I'll up the points if the stories show a lot of input and effort.
RULE
1. I have the right to DQ you if your story does not contain recognizable symbols or is completely off subject to make room for new authors.
