Hi guys,
My first contest! YAY!!!!! So I wanted it to be a little bit different. So here's what I want.
I want you to write a creative non-fiction story about your experiences with writing. It must show how you got interested in writing and why you write the particular genre you do. You can include how you created a particular book or series or character. That is really up to you but it must in some way answer the questions about how you got interested in writing and why you write the particular genre.
When I say creative non-fiction, I mean I want you to write it as if it were a story not an essay but it has to be all your fact. You can write in first person, third person, however, once it's fact not fiction, and reads like a story.
I know it's a bit challenging but from what I've seen I think you are up to the task.
Ah yes the Rules!
1. No cursing
2. Just try not to have too many spelling mistakes...I understand there will be some but sometimes some of ya'll go overboard.
3. Not too much graphic stuff. I mean some intimate moment may have influenced you but believe me I don't need that much detail about it.
4. Make it factual. Factual doesn't mean dry. Just means there should be no flying dragons in your story unless a dream with them helped you.
5. Have fun.
6. There is no word limit, just don't go overboard.
7. As part of these rules, to show that you have read and acknowledged them, put the following phrase at the end of your notes. "The chicken flies over the big boom."
8. Please comment- critique not criticize- on the others who enter.
Thank you. HAVE FUN!! Let's see what you guys can come up with

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 12
- Rewards: Gold: 250, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 17 people
- Final notes: Hey ALL!!! I ended the contest early because it was clear I wasn't going to get any more entries and it would be unfair to keep you guys waiting.
Thank you so much for taking time out to be part of this competition.
Thank you for being honest in your entries and for making this a cool first contest for me.
Congratulations to the entry that got gold. You came the closest to the type of writing that I was looking for. And the rest of you while you didn't fully meet the criteria I was looking for, I applaud your efforts and must say that the insight into what makes you tick as writers was a thought invoking experience.
Thank you all very much again.
God continue to bless your writing. And keep on going.

Hellish, primitive and all of this I observed at a glance. I’m not exactly sure what I observed but it was an allusion to something. I was sitting in the depths of Manhattan on the stone steps in-front of the IPod Store. In-fby williamfmorgan 400 words, 4 comments, on Oct 10 9:19 AM. In Creative non-fiction, Humor, More
