So this is my first contest and it took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to make it about. And I’ve finally come to a decision about what it will be. With the help of Dawn Marie we have come to a conclusion. We have decided on ‘Sad Stories’.
Option a: Ok so Me, Dawn Marie, have made the first prompt. Your boyfriend dies in a tragic accident of your choice two days before he was going to propose to you. How do you know this? When going through his stuff you find the ring and a note. You’re devastated over this and you’re probably the saddest girl in the world. You find out that the accident wasn’t really an accident and you have to figure out who arranged for it to happen before an innocent man (the one blamed for the accident originally) is sentenced. Now, go start writing! What are you still doing here? No less than 400 words, please.
Option b: This one is by me, KayceeJo. You have just found out that your whole life has been a lie. When you were younger, your “parents” adopted you illegally from a set of people who they knew absolutely nothing about. You are now eighteen and you decided that you wanted to go out and find them. When you start to look, you find out the unthinkable. Your parents never existed. There is no record whatsoever that they were ever alive and no record of their parents before them. You also find out that there are people looking for you. They want something from you… The rest is up to you. Just make that “something” at least somewhat interesting, please! I don’t want to be bored to death. No less than 400 words also.
Option C:
I am now also allowing Sad Poems. There is no word-limit. Write as much or as little as you want. There is also no specific Sad Story that you have to write about! This is a free option. Just make sure to follow the rules listed for Option B. Those are also the rules for this new Option.

Cussing but not a lot of it and No God D*****
No bashing Religion in any way
And it can’t be a prewritten story
No erotica
Rules for option b and c:
You can use profanity just no God D*****
No religion bashing AT ALL!
No erotica- I am only 14, people!
No prewritten stories. I want something totally new.
Be imaginative! I don’t want some washed up story about boring stuff that actually happened! Creativity is key!

- Final notes: I think that this was a very good turn out for my first real contest. Every single entry was beautifully written with so much emotion it saturated each word that I read. I am sad to say that only one person can win a "trophy", but I think that you all won in the respect that you all have amazing talents and you should continue to write, no matter what the outcome of this contest was.
