Love?

Hello darlings!

I hope you all are well.

Thank you for considering this contest!

I'm just giving away my points, hopefully I can earn more.

Here's what I want:
Write what you think the definition of love is. Don't just define it for me like Webster would, I don't want the dictionary definition. Actually, I'll provide the dictionary definition for you, maybe it'll help. Anyway, I want your definition, in the form of a story or a poem.

"American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source - Share This love (lŭv) Pronunciation Key
n.
A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness. "

I'd really appreciate it if you followed the rules I lay out, they are as follows:

1. No erotica, or even sex, really.
(I appreciate that this is a part of love, eventually; however, I would like to focus on the emotional aspect.)
2. No cursing is allowed.
3. If YoU tYpE lIkE tHiS, I will not consider your entry.
4. I am a grammar fanatic. Please try to spell correctly and cleverly construct your sentences. I have confidence in you!
5. Do not bash another person's work. Everything is beautiful and will be taken seriously.
6. If you're not clear about the rules, please feel free to message me.
7. Don't go over 5,000 words, please. It'll be really tricky to read. However, if you have a story that you think APPLIES PERFECTLY and it's over that limit, submit it and I'll read it anyway.

Once again, thank you for considering this contest.
I hope you all have a blessed week! Peace be with you!

Wow! This contest had such a great outcome! I really appreciate every single one of the entries. They were all excellent reads, as you are all excellent writers. To the winners, congratulations! To those who didn't win, don't feel bad, it's only my opinion, which isn't always worth much. God Bless! Have a great week!

That's fine. It doesn't have to be romantic love. And yes, prose is fine.
