Not so new but definitely interesting

So there are a bunch of contests that ask for 1 word, 3 words, 4 words, 10 words, you get the idea. This is another one of them. But this one is a bit more...interesting.

Now write a story using exactly that number of words. And yes, Im serious about the point three. SERIOUS! I'll settle for the first half of the word, but no more! SEVENTEEN AND A HALF IS THE LIMIT!

    Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful entries =) I had it loped down to 8 finalists, but I could only choose six, so two got cut off. All the entries were simply wonderful though, and I had a LOT of fun reading and commenting on them. Especially in my boring marketing class!

    Thanks all for a great contest, and congratulations to the winners =) All the entries were wonderfully creative; so many different formats and ideas. I had dialogue entries, letters, myths, words missing letters, and even plagiarism. (But please, no more of that one Although I do admire the irony behind it.)
