Short contest!
I have this weird little monologue I wrote... but I don't know what to do with it. I want you to write a good, crazy and possibly scary story with it!
No sexual content, or fan-fics... no fan of those. For the rest, go all-out! I got no problem with swearing, but don't go overboard and put "fuck" after every other word. Oh yeah, no gay/religion bashing, unless it fits a certain character, but even then keep it a little civilized.
Since it's only 5 entries, I'll allow bigger stories than I usually do... limit is at 2750 words. One word over and it's DQ!
No pre-writes! Reservations will be removed after about 3 days of no writing. I will allow work in (significant) progress
Here's the prompt:
“Those puny insects... insolent fools! All of them! They don’t know what’s coming for them… Yes… Yes, definitely! I’ll skin them alive! Dance to the music of their agony! Ohh, how I’ll savor the moment… the moment the terror enters their faces, the moment they realize it was me! The betrayal, the pain… The beauty! Yes… soon… very soon…”

(PS. I *really* like the way the Joker was portrayed as a villain/crazy guy in The Dark Knight! Bonus if you manage to give me the creeps like he did)

- Final notes: First of all: Sorry for the delay! I completely forgot about this contest until a mod warned me yesterday to judge it! So, my apologies!
I intended to give out only 1 award, but I thought both winners had amazing stories. Though the second place wasn't entirely in the same vibe of the prompt (crazy ass betrayal), I still wanted to award the great writing. The winner is Sweet Revenge, which gives us a look inside a mad man's mind.
An honorable mention (literally only a mention.. not an award ) goes to "Of Plastic Surgeons". I loved the concept of the story and the way it was written, but unfortunately it wasn't finished and stopped halfway.

Hmm well not necessarily I guess, but I would be pretty disappointed if it wasn't in, to be honest. I want to see what you guys can do with the quote and how you can build a story around it. But it's up to you really!
