My story deserves a trophy!

Hi everyone

This contest is for people to submit a prewrite that they have entered into one or more contests in the past, but never got a trophy for it By trophy I mean all trophies - Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable mentions.

If you have written something that you feel deserves some sort of trophy but it has so far received none, then submit it here!

RULES

1 - The contest is for prewrites only
2 - Any genre is accepted
3 - Max word count of 10,000
4 - The story must not have won a gold, silver, bronze or honorable mention trophy.
5 - Poems and stories are both accepted.
6 - Please, please run spell check
7 - **Important** - If you have submitted your prewrite into another contest and it wins a trophy before my contest is judged, then it will be disqualified as it would be unfair then to judge it against other entries if it has won something.

I am quickly learning that saying a story is great when it really isn't, is not helping the writer. I will do my best to comment on every entry; and try to point out what areas of the story needs work, to help you start winning those wonderful trophies!

I look forward to reading your work

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on September 22, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 200, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 10 people
  • Final notes:
Thanks so much for all the brilliant stories submitted into my contest. This has been the hardest of all my contests so far to judge as there were so many that I loved. All on the finalists lists deserved trophies so they all got one Choosing bronze was so hard as I was torn between 3 stories to put in 3rd place. I would urge you all to read each other's work - there is some real talent in some of these stories! Thanks again to everyone who entered and keep up the good writing

I'm guessing you may only enter this contest once.

And thank you for having this contest. I have not seen any of these yet, and my creations are lacking views of other people. Arigatou gozaimasu!

For the moment I have set it to one entry per person - it is open for a week with 50 spaces so if there are still a lot of spaces to fill in a few days time then I will allow more than one entry I'm glad you like this contest idea

    Oh man...
I'm new to this site and just posted some of my works, but have not really entered any contests. I would love to enter one of them, but you said that they needed to have been in a previous contest. Oh well.

    Thank You

Thanks for the honorable mention and points. It has been a while since I've won a trophy. I feel like a ought to win one or more each week. I guess I'm spoiled. I'm glad you like my story.
