Note: I will not look upon stories that have been entered in dozens of contests fondly for this only gives me the impression of a writer trying to get every last trophy out of one good piece of work. You will not be DQ’d for this but it does not look good in my opinion.
Alright, lately I’ve felt like reading some good writing but haven’t had a whole lot of luck finding it. So I figured I’d let you bring your best work to me instead of me going and having to dig though piles of chicken scratch searching for something decent to read.
The contest is simple; give me your best work. It can be a poem, short story, prologue/chapter one of a novel, screen play, almost anything really.
Ah, the rules sorry folks got to have them.
1) Nothing over say 4,000 words I will give you a leeway of 100 words. If the story is close to the limit and you’re worried about SW messing up the word count just put the correct word count in you’re A/N.
2) No erotica or abuse.
3) Swearing is fine by me. I do it a lot myself so I’m not going to sit here and say you can’t.
4) Gore, blood, violence, murder, psychopaths, go right ahead.
5) Put the story under the proper tags.
6) Grammar is important in this contest, use paragraphs, sentences, dialog lines, capitalization and so on.
7) Sticky caps, caps lock, chat speak and excessive abbreviations (months, ages, and so on) are not necessary and unless they are part of the story (talking on the internet, reading something that may contain them) I will not look upon them happily. Don’t get me mad I’m the judge.
8) If you break a rule I will tell which one you broke in a comment and you will be DQ’d from the contest.
Only one entry per person, I don’t want a tone of entries from each writer. I only want you best work.
I will warn you now I don’t like romance or vampires. If you do a twisted, creative work in those two categories I may well like it but it is a chance. I cannot change my tastes for a contest, sorry.
Feel free to ask questions, I don’t bite.
Put you gender in the A/N so I know you read the rules.
Have fun and points will go up!!!

Are fanfiction pieces allowed?
-
-
Yeah, go ahead. Probably won't know anything about the show/story but your welcome to enter it. I've read plenty of fanfiction.
-
-
Even if it's Twilight? I just wrote a twilight fic that I'm pretty proud of but the main character is a vampire, though there's not really any vampire goings-on in it.
-
-
Never read Twilight but yes you may enter it. If there's little vampire going ons in it it should be fine. I just don't like that 'perfect' vampire goes around killing people and falling in love stuff.
-
-
Yeah, that gets a little... lame sometimes. I'll just enter it and see what you think, and I'm sure it'll be fine even if you haven't read Twilight, the main thing you have to know is that the narrator in the story is a vampire (making him immortal), that's about all that's close to vampire stuff in it.

Hey~
This is my very first story... ever xD
so im just hoping that you'll like it and feedback would be nice :]
thanks! -
HMMMM
sry It wasn't my best work. I usually hate writing on the computer. so all my work is on my journal! and I am too lazy to copy them here. sry again. -
I have a Question, it looks like that I'm the only one that you didn't view or commented on? I was just wondering.
-
Never mind I looked again and there were others, sorry!
-
-
That's alright. I'm reading them by the length for the most part. A few I may have already read but otherwise its all on length. I'll get them all read, kinda busy for me right now.
-
-
I didn't know what A/N meant when I entered the contest. I'm male, though, if that counts.
-
Thank you SO much for Honorable Mention! Congrats to all other winners!!!
