I Can't Write Romance

Okay, so long story short I have a new book idea, and it involves a LOT of romance. If you don't see the problem with this, then please read the title.
*waits patiently*
Okay, so what I need is this (and I'm so very sorry, but it has to be this precise for my story): romantic scenes between teenage boy and girl. No corny, no extremely passionate, no erotica.
Or a girl (once again, must be precise) can fall in love with someone she shouldn't such as: a talking dog, an alien from outer space, a leaf. But the dog/alien/leaf must love her back. No corny, no extremely passionate, no erotica.
If you have any questions, just ask. I want this to be realistic. Even if it is leafy love.
Okay, here's the rules:
1. No corny, no passionate, no erotica.
2. You can only enter once.
3. Fresh writes get priority.
4. No sad endings. No death, or anything.
5. No cutting or violence.
6. No parental disapproval unless it's the talking dog, alien, or leaf. (BTW, it can be anything, not just those things.)
7. In your authors notes, put how harsh of criticism you can handle. No response to this means BRING IT ON!!
8. Be original.
9. Correct spelling and grammar please. You will lose points for a lot of mistakes.
10. I will add HM's for quality of stories.

Show me some love!

Hm...what should the romance scenes between boy/girl include? Just a bit confused on this...

Anything you want. Social interactions of a normal boyfriend/girlfriend type, casual chatter, and a sprinkling of romance all through.

There is already a published story you can read...

The twilight series fits this profile. It's a VERY good series... But this is just a suggestion for the 'Forbidden love thing'....

I know. I've already read it and I think it's amazing! But I'm not about to attempt to find my own romantic voice just by one example (that would be duplicating Stephanie Meyer's style), so hence I submit this contest.

Is there specified backgrounds the characters have to have? How they meet? What has to happen in the story other than their falling in love? ><

nope. You can have them meeting and suchlike if you like, but they don't even technically have to FALL in love in your story, just BE in love. Make sense?

my definition of passionate might be different than your definition of the word so could you please elaborate on what you mean by no passionate?

sure. All I mean is they can't be so devoted to each other they forego all other aspects of life and can't live without each other.

And of course no hardcore lust.

I adore romance....all aspects of it, but it can be a very touchy subject to write on. Maybe my other contest would better suit your needs?

I can't write romance either xD I've decided recently to try actually reading some in order to figure out exactly how one SHOULD write it, but I can't help but still find it weird, reading about someone else's relationship.

I've heard about the Twilight series, and I'm going to start with that. Fingers crossed it doesn't make me cringe at every second word from corniness

Oh no, you'd love the series! I too was skeptical at the whole 'vampire' idea, but it truly was a great series. I hope you enjoy it.

And I think you just have to find your own romantic voice.....reading other people's works can help with this.
