Letters.

I love letters and the images and feelings they portray. I love getting mail, and I love sending it. Write, or give me, a story that is either a letter in itself, or includes letters. It doesn't have to be the focus of the story, and it doesn't have to revolve around the letter, but I'd really like to see how the letter affects a character, or how the feelings are portrayed in the letter.

(Brownie points if the letter is either a ransom note, suicide note, or love letter. Or.. something more creative!)

Photographs.

No, I will not be giving photo prompts, and no, you will not be getting inspiration from a photo. I want you to use a photo IN the story. A family photo, graduation picture, mug shot. Anything of the sort. Include pictures and photos in your story creatively. I really love how you can trace change through photographs and it leaves a lot of room for descriptions. (If you've met me or read my stuff.. I LOVE details and descriptions.) Be creative.

(Brownie points if you orient the story wholly around the photo IN the story.)

If you can use both, like I did my title, in one story, I will be supremely happy and impressed.

Rules. (=
As in other contests, bash god if you want, curse if you can do it well, be wild and erotic if it's fitting. (Bi, gay, lesbian, straight, any kind of love or sex is fine. I don't mind.)

I am very strict with grammar and such, though. So, please don't go crazy with errors. If there are minor spelling and grammar problems, I'll let them pass, but if I read it and immediately desire to pull my hair out, you MIGHT be DQ'd.
