Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 18
- Rewards: Gold: 130, Silver: 60, Bronze: 35
- Final notes: Thanks you so much to everybody who entered this contest. It was very hard to judge and all of the stories and poems were excellent. And incase anyone was wondering, this is the poem that the man actually wrote:
Waiting for the sun to go down
Get me some rest on this old seaside
People from all around this globe
I gave up years ago
Been running from sun up to sun down
Taking in the sun’s warmth
Maybe If I was younger it wouldn’t be so hard
Now I just don’t care
I ain’t got no home
Don’t have a mate
I’m fifty six years old
Time is late
Time ran out a long time ago
Time over takes us all
The clock just keeps running
We all will die
We all will die sooner or later
Your time is limited also
The end must come
Parts of the old book we never got to read
The word of god
But is it
Time knows
Time won’t tell us what we don’t know
We just keep going
We have gotten good at pretending
Lies are the rule of thumb
Years come and go
Is this the best we can do?
Time will tell
We will hear its call

You have to admit it; homeless people do write some good begging signs
