Alright, this is my first contest. I just got back from a road trip, and now I'm bored. That's where you guys come in. I love werewolves and vampires, and I'd like to see some good stories about them.
I'll allow fanfictions, such as 'Twilight' fanfictions, but these will have less chance of winning than original stories. I would really like to focus on originality in this contest. The exception to this are things that stick to medievel and tribal legends.

If you do a Twilight Fanfic, you'll get major brownie points for a story in a minor character's PoV.
Stories centered around legends about non-European monsters, such as Chinese and African vampires. Remember that many cultures had their own legends about our favorite bloodsuckers and shape-shifters. (Research may have to be done for this.)
And if you take an entirely new twist on either creature, you'll get major, major brownie points.

I prefer hetero, but you can have gay/lesbian stories too.
No typing LIKE THIS or LiKe ThIs.
No poetry.
No uber emo-ness. I don't want to read stories about whinny vamps.
Keep everything between 500 - 3000 words. I might have tons of free time, but I still have a somewhat short attention span. You can go over by a couple hundred, but that's it. Any less than 500 and you'll be DQed.
Any genre is allowed, as long as one of the main characters is a werewolf or a vampire.
P.S. I like werewolves more than vampires, but this won't effect the judging.
