Friendships and Sacrifice

**UPDATE!**

I will be judging this as soon as poosible. Unfortunatly for those of you with no patience, I wasn't thinking much when I started this contest, and the ending of it landed on prodution time. Meaning, my life doesn't exist off stage. But, after the first of April I will be back, and will wrap this wonderful contset thingy up nice and neat. Thanks to everyone who entered, everything was great and I loved reading all your entries!
----------------------------

I want to hear about a friendship gone awry, due to a misunderstanding, miscommunication or untimely separation, purposely or otherwise.

No hate, no silly jealousies, no unbased spite.  I want to hear about pain, guilt, loss, heartbreak, and perhaps grim happiness if the separation was for both parties' own good.

I want to hear about seclusion, loneliness, and longing.  I want pain, not necessarily emotional, and regret over past happenings.  Tears shed where no one can see, lips gnawed bloody for fear of speaking out.

Tell me about friendship, teamwork, and sacrifice.  I want to feel true feeling and commitment that endures all challenges, even if if means giving up the bond.

Make me feel hopeful that chivalry still exists, that friendships can endure, and perhaps, that miracles are possible and that friendship can conquer.

As for the rules, I'm a stickler for grammar and proper English; not a fan of foul language unless well placed; and prefer deep, symbolic type stories.  Good luck to all!

P.S. I'm an editor by nature and nurture, so if you're one who'd rather I not comment critically leave a note in the author's comments.

hey i think i want to enter something, but there's kind of a catch. what I want to enter is part of a story. it's a chapter. you'll still get it though, because it's the first. it this okay? or do you not want chapters? well, the other catch is that they have a big friendship...but they're brother and sister. would this be okay or no?
    thanks
    Tay

It should be fine, enter away! I don't know anyone who'd not like chapters... if I like a story, I love when it continues!
