Fairies, Elves, and Dragons! Oh my!

Heylo everyone! I have decided to hold a contest about mythical creatures. I will have several prompts (some lines, some paragraphs, and just a general idea type of ones) and you can pick whichever one. I'll allow you to enter two stories at the most and you may use more than one prompt. Though if you use more, make sure it fits into your story! I hope to get some good entries in, because from what I've seen, there are some dang good fantasy writers here! And now for the dreaded rules:

No erotica.
Minimum swearing.
The story needs to be 200 words minimum, you may use as many words as you need, but make sure to keep my interest.
So as I know that you've read the rules, list your favorite type of dog in the A/N. Also include your option in there (e.g. One-Liners-2. Just include the category of the prompt first and then the number). Thanks!

And now for the prompts....*drumroll*
One-Liners
1-And with the final words of his final spell, their fate was sealed.

2-Fairies and other flying creatures flitted by as the robotic tone inside his helmet said, "Welcome to Farnix."

3-As the remains of his pillage burnt, he flew on, his hunger satisfied.

4-She caressed his face as she lowered her lips to his neck and whispered, "Goodnight, my love."

5-The elf paled as she spoke, "Sir, I can't possibly kill him!"

Paragraphs
1- The night seemed to encase her in it's darkness as she flew from the evil trailing her. The horrible creatures that served the dark were after her. Her eyes seemed to glow red with flame as she became furious. "I will not bow down to those filthy humans!" And with revenge and fury on her mind, she turned, intent on killing those who wanted her.

2-The fairy slowly came to it's feet, glaring at the warlock in front of it. "You had no right to do that to me." His face contorted into rage. "And now you shall pay." His hands began to glow a deep purple.

3-Singing surrounded her as she entered the grove. Her hands shook, but she kept her voice steady as she called, "Micheal?" And as her voice faded, a man appeared in front of her to cares her with his soft wings.

4-The witches cackled with pure glee as they held the knife to the young elf's throat. "Now tell where the ________ is. Or we shall have no choice, but to murder you." The witches muttered, all as one and one as all.

5-"Humans are no more allowed on this sacred ground than we are on the Dragon's Ground! It is final, Aurora!" And the old warlock strode out, leaving the girl with her tears.

Ideas
1-A classic forbidden love, but with a twist. You have to use two creatures that have never been heard of together, or that you have never seen written about.

2-Something unique and original, anything really as long as it fits the mythical creatures category.

3-A war. Write about a war between one or more creatures of mythology.

4-Write me something to do with spells and magic.

5-I want a humorous story. Turn any of these ideas or your own into a humorous, mythical creature story.

Ok that's all I have. And just so you know, the more people that enter, the more the points go up. Now go get writing!

Would I be right to assume that you have to use the one liner or paragraph in the story? Or are they themselves just to get the creative juices going?

I've got an idea that would use one of them anyway but I just want to make sure.

    Thanks Tony!

  • This is an excellant contest. I do have one question though, are we allowed to use more than one prompt? I'm just making sure because some contest with prompts allow you to choose one prompt only.

Thnanks. As long as you can make it fit into your story, then I'm fine with it! Good luck.
