Second first contest! Happy time!

Hi!

Okay, since my first contest horribly failed, I want to try again. And again. And again. I recently won a few trophies so my points are way up, so expect a few new contests by yours truly!

For this particular contest, I want you to make me happy!
Make me smile, make me go "aww" (in the good way), make me laugh, give me a warm feeling inside!

The usual rules apply, but I will still repeat them:
-No adult stuff (erotica, gore, etc.)
-No bashing of stuff (homosexuality, religion, etc.)
-I'm a real grammar-nazi, so good grammar is definitely worth the effort
-NO POETRY!
-MAX 1500 words! I will allow a 100 word buffer, but anyting above that gets DQed without being read!

-Put this in your author notes so that I know if you read all this!: "Fill my soul with the spirit of life"

-I will comment on every story! I'll try to be as constructive and supportive as possible
-Most important one: HAVE FUN!!!

BROWNIE POINTS: I absolutely love it when there's a deeper meaning or message to a story! If you would like an example as to what I mean, read my story "Chains" or "Jane's Story", though the latter is a poem.

PS. If the quality of the submitted stories is really high, I'll probably up the points!

PPS. What I also love are magical stories. A bunch of GREAT examples are the stories by Hayao Miyazaki (he makes anime-movies).

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on June 9, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 175, Silver: 85, Bronze: 40, Honorable mention: 3 people
  • Final notes:
Well, this sure was a rich experience! Almost all stories actually did make me smile, but, some more than the other.
I'd like to thank everyone for entering and sharing their stories with me, and all the winners: congratulations!
I've noticed that I prefer stories that are funny and actually make me laugh, so I already have ideas for my next contest!
    Again, thank you all!

I have a beginning to a soon-to-be-completed fairy tale. I, personally, think it's kind of cute. Would that be something acceptable? I mean..it's NOT finished.. Is that alright?

Sure, cute happy stuff is good! If it gives me a warm feeling inside, it's okay!
Besides, you still have some time to finish it. Put your name in your author-notes and I'll judge it last!
      You can always try right?

Yay! Thanks for the silver. I'm glad you enjoyed my piece enough to silverfy it.

If a humour contest is your next one, expect to see me there.
