The Duality Of It All

How would you kill off one of the characters in your stories? Or how would you let them live? How would they survive after a crucial character were to die?

Prove it.

I want you to show me exactly how you would kill/keep characters in stories that you have/may yet/will write.

Rules: (I hate them too, but they are somewhat of a necessity.)
1. I don't really care what the genres are. You can pretty much include anything that killing/keeping your character requires.

2. I don't really care about grammar and punctuation, but if you use StIcKy caps, and you can't read the story at all because of bad grammar, punctuation and spelling, kiss the contest good bye. It's harsh, I know, but if I can't read it, I can't judge it.

3. Have fun. This is an opportunity to judge and be judged (in a good way) so that you can become a better writer. I know I'm not the greatest writer in the world, but it's still good to have someone say, "Hey, this doesn't make sense." And that way you can fix it.

4. Please use your own writing and your own thoughts. I can tolerate spin-offs, but just don't completely plagiarize the writing/movie that you got it from.

Other than that, I can tolerate pretty much anything so have fun, be true, enjoy the contest, and let the competition begin!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on May 27, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 140, Silver: 90, Bronze: 60, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
    Hey everyone!
Sorry it took me so long to judge this contest. I got busy and didn't have very much time to sleep let alone judge contests.

Anyways, all the stories were very good- I like seeing how creative people can be when it comes to stuff like this. I was very impressed by how... eh, unique, the entries were, and found it fun to read them and compare each individual's interpretation of what had been asked of them.

Great job and God and Goddess Bless!
