Give me something good

So, I have some points saved up and I have decided to make a contest to get rid of some. I'm going to have some random options for this contest.

1. I'll give you a song and you can write a story from the inspiration. For this one, reserve a spot and I will send you a song. Write in the notes this is the option your reserving for.
2. A rewritten fairytale. I know this has been done really well from some famous authors, but I want to see what you come up with. The catch is, I want to give you the fairytale. If you choose this option, let me know when you reserve your spot and I will send you the fairytale and a link in order to read the description of the original story.
3. I want a story about something paranormal. This is the only option where I will allow a pre-write.

That's a couple options for you. I am working two jobs right now but I need something to distract me for the next week and a half so give me some good stories. That being said I will also read and comment every story although I can't promise it will be soon after you enter. I do have to include some rules.

1. No Poems or lyrics.
2. Spell-check and use proper punctuation. If you don't write it in a program that does spell-check automatically, make sure to check it somehow. If I can't get through your story because of typos, you won't win.

If you have any other suggestions or options, send me a message and I'll try to put them in if I like them. Thanks for entering!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on April 9, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 100, Silver: 75, Bronze: 40
  • Final notes:
Thanks to everyone who entered! I enjoyed reading the stories even though some weren't exactly what I was looking for in my contest.

I picked the three winners because all of the stories invoked some strong emotion and were exactly what I asked for. Congrats to those who won! Thanks to everyone!

That's a bit more Fantasy for me. For paranormal I was thinking ghosts and weird happenings like that.

Hm... Yes. I think that does. I should really define "paranormal" better. Sorry it's so broad.
