    "Adult Themes"

I'm just wondering if having my character stumbling upon a scene of murder counts as an adult theme. There aren't any gory details; it only mentions a collection of blood around the corpse and the colour of the body. If needed, I'll gladly send you an excerpt of the story that has that part in it.

It depends - most things can be toned down for children, and in this case I'd be looking for stories with no more than a "K" rating. "K" rating means it is suitable to be read by children between the ages of 8 and 15, and should not contain explicit material (an extended description). As long as you stick to the basics, and don't make the murder the overall theme, I think it should be fine.
