500 Points for Imagery!

Give me striking imagery. I want great description, originality, and writing that leaves an impact. I like scenes of beauty, especially in nature, but the appearance and setting are up to you. What I really want is description, orinality, and impact.

RULES:

All the usuals: no sticky caps/superfluous swearing/bashing/etc.

Prewrites allowed.

Please don't enter more than two pieces without messaging me first.

If it's not under 1,000 words, I don't guarantee to finish it.

No erotica/crime/horror. DQ guaranteed.

Weird/Fantasy/Sci-fi/Humor on a case-by-case basis. Message me first. (By Fantasy I don't mean something creatively unrealistic or other-worldly, I just mean something in which the setting, character(s), and plotline are all fantastical.)

Brownie points for simplicity/good vocabulary/suspense.

A few spelling mistakes are understandable (although I prefer none) but if they're excessive then I'll definitely ask you to revise your story.

Poetry is allowed! It doesn't have to rhyme, I just want to see natural flow.

Thanks so much for entering and good luck in the contest! ♥ xoxo, Bee

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on March 18, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 150, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 15 people
  • Final notes:
WOW! There were so many amazing pieces it was REALLY hard to judge this and I feel kind of unfiar for giving only three of you trophies. I keep going back and forth about who should get them. Basically, everyone on the finalist list deserves a trophy. And there were still a ton of amazing pieces that didn't get to the finalist. Anyway...congrats to winners and honorable mentions.
