I've received a huge reaction from my piece, 'what colour are your wings?'
http://storywrite.com/story/109049
Some people tell me what colour their wings are in their comments and I find it really very interesting. So, I've decided to hold a contest to get some true reactions
What I want you to do is go read that piece, then tell me what colour your wings (and/or your soul) are. If you decide to give me both, let me see the differances between them.
This is basically a prose contest, potray your emotions and images through your written word. I will accept stories and (shock horror!) poems, however, they had better be good
So go for it. I challenge you to answer my question.
Entries will be judged on the description and emotion involved.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 29, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 100, Silver: 75, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 8 people
- Final notes: Wow... I have honestly never had a harder contest to judge. I knew this would be a challenge but... wow. But now, many crashes and computer problems later, I have spent the past hour deciding the top three. Gold, wings of pearlescence, stood out to me from the time I read it, but the rest... I just couldnt choose! Finally I selected two that had impressed me because they spoke about something more than their wings. For silver, they spoke about how all wings are white with innocence to begin with, and rather than changing colour, they consider theirs to have been covered. Bronze spoke about how their wings are clear, nothing, but with God, they have been made white with purity, the mixture of all things life has thrown, in His eyes. Every finalist should also be applauded, and for that matter, every entrant. There were only one or two entries I didn't consider for finalists, every other one almost, or at some point did, get on the list. This whole contest was impossible to judge! so thank for you giving me such inspirational reads, I hope you've all learnt something about yourselves through this.

The color of wings? To be honest I’d never given it a lot of thought to the fact that humans might even have wings; it had never occurred to me. ‘What color are my wings?’ I ask myself. Red is my first thought. But no, red is a color for anger, an emotion I possess little of. ‘Black!’ I exclaim. But there is light in me, so black will not do.1• Commented on by judge. [remove]

What colour are your wings? A pretty abstract question but I suppose one that effects us all in a way. If you look into the very depths of your soul, what would you find?1 / As for colours, that• Commented on by judge. [remove]
