Tell Me How You Feel.

Is it so hard to just spill your heart out through your fingertips? That's what I want you to do.

I want you to tell me, in detail, every little thing that you are feeling right now. That is, if you decide to enter this contest. Bash my stupid idea for this contest in your entry, if you'd like.

The winner will be the person that makes me feel exactly how they feel. I want to see your experience through my own eyes, I want to feel your happiness, your sorrow, your pain. I want to smell your father's cologne that makes you want to puke. I want to taste your mom's pie that you can taste before you even touch it. I want to feel your anger boiling inside me. I want the fire to be alighted within me like it's burning within you.

You get my point, I hope. If you fail to make my mind connect with yours, you fail to win this contest. If you make me do all the things mentioned above, then, wow, hopefully you win this contest. But you only get the trophy you deserve.

So tell me, dear StoryWriter, how do you feel at this moment? Do you want to kill someone? Do you want to hit something? Do you want to just laugh at loud for no apparent reason?

Rules~
-Do not list under an adult category.
-Do not write with the worst grammar ever seen on Earth.
-I will not be lenient with the previous rule. You write like a kindergartener, you will be disqualified.
-In your Author's Notes, explain why you decided to enter my contest.
-Also tell me your favorite phrase from your favorite song. No need to say what song it's from. It's just for me to know that you read my rules ^_^
-It can be a poem, if you can capture my attention throughout the whole thing.
-Use vivid words. Let your imagination run like the wind.

P.S. Sorry I didn't say this before, but NO BLOCK PARAGRAPHS. If I see one big block paragraphs in the beginning [or if the whole thing's one gigantic paragraph] I won't put you on the finalists list. I won't comment either, because I won't read it.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on February 15, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 400, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 3 people
  • Final notes:
I'm so sorry for judging this so late! I'll be honest with you: I totally forgot!!

Well, anyway. The trophies and honorable mentions are richly deserved. Fantastic work, all of you!

The only reason some of you didn't win a place in the finalists list is because
    1. Block paragraphs. They kill my eyes and I get lost in them, which is never good.
    2. You didn't CAPTURE me. I needed an open window into your heart, into your mind, but I just couldn't get through.
    3. I'm sorry to say, but some entries were just better than others. I not only felt exactly what the writer felt, but I was that person, if that makes any sense. But I couldn't feel that in some other entries.

But, don't let this contest get you down. You've all done wonderful. Please, do keep writing and NEVER stop. Okay, that's a bad statement to make. But, fly free! Write what your heart tells you. Writing is wearing your soul on your fingertips.

    Siby Anan.
