The Calling of all Fantasy & Dark Writers

Hi, this is my first ever contest, so bear with my mistakes (if there are any).

This is a call to everyone who loves to write dark stories...by that I don't mean stories with dark-skinned people, mind you. What I mean is sad stories, those that are able to make even Hitler and Osama cry...OK, maybe that's a little too exaggerating, but you get the idea.

It's also for those who love fantasy. Why? Because I love them myself, and want to read what you write for fantasy.

But, most of all, this is for...*drum rolls please*...people who write sad, dark fantasy stories. Yeah, those are my kind of stories.

Anyway, here are some rules that need to be followed:
- No sticky caps
- Word limit... below 3000
- ONLY STORIES NO POEMS! Sorry, I don't really read poems much...

*Those who are too blind or just plain lazy to read the rules will be DQ-ed. I would hate to do that, but yeah, I will.

Awaiting that golden chalice from you. Do. Not. Disappoint. Me. Cheers.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on December 26, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 200, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
Hey there to you all!! This was my first contest, and I had a real fun organising and reading through all the entries, but to tell you the truth, choosing the winners was a real headache!

Many of the entries were fabulous, and I had to make the toughest decision of my life choosing the winners for the first and second prize, because both were excellent, and I liked both of them.

Congratulations to those who've won, and to those who haven't, don't feel down. I will be back with more contests (I think I'm getting addicted already!!), and you can try your luck then.

Once again, thank you, and keep writing well!!
