Come one! Come all!

Hello. Welcome to the realm of the Lost Legend. You have been summoned here to have your skill challenged. The skill I speak of is one of the scribe, traveling bard, and mere storyteller. I am challenging you, the writers of today, with this simple request. Use the gift you have, imagination, and write me a story.

I will not give you anything but guidelines. Following these guidelines give me a small taste of what you can do. I will allow prewrites, but I prefer fresh writing (that is the real challenge). When it comes to the time of judgment, do bare with me. In all actuality, I don't have too much time to spare for I have many responsibilities here at home. Have fun with this, I'm looking forward to the results.

~Guidelines~
*It must be filled with words of magic, fantasy, or fiction.
*It must lead the mind to amazement.
*It must have the feeling of the imaginary world.
*It could be placed in our world or one of your own.
*It must be able to be read by all.
*It must be more than 1000 words, yet no more than 9000.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 19, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 100, Silver: 75, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 17 people
  • Final notes:
Even though most of my entries ended up to be prewrites, I encourage for you all to continue on with the gift of imagination. I feel that everyone wins something or should have a feeling of victory after a contest. I've enjoyed them all, but some I prefered more than others, but that means nothing. I congradulate you all on the stories I have seen here, you all did very well. Try though to bring something fresh, it will make that gift grow even stronger and become wider in variation. Have fun y'all!

I wrote Dark Fury 2 for your contest.

I believe it meets all the requirements of your contest and it demonstrates my skill as of the moment. It has a similar flow and style as Dark Fury and the same basic characters. I hope you like this one better. Oh, by the way, I used your black horned pegasus. I'd never seen it before.

Something I guess I missed stating...

Yes, I allow prewrite, but would rather prefer new stories. It shows me that you're willing to take my challenge, and not be sort of lazy about it. I give you the option to see how many think they can win by giving me something off the top of their head.

I've even entered prewrites in a few contest, but stop when I noticed it was more fun making something up just for that contest. If I offend someone stating this, I'm sorry, I really don't mean for it to.
    Good Luck!
