Okay, here's the deal, I want to start a pay it forward contest. Really the only reason I want to do this is so that people will reserve a place in the contest. I warn you now, it's going to be more challenging than most contests, especially my previous contests.
I'm not going to set a limit on how many people can reserve a spot but I want as many as possible. I will also be adding points as I go.
I want to give the rules up front although I may be adding more later. (probably not though)
1. No poetry or song lyrics. That would make it way too easy.
2. Please check your spelling and grammar. Mostly just reread your story and spell check it.
3. No less than 100 words and no more than 2,000
4. Must actually have an apparent plot, not just a description of a place or character.
I want a story that does not use the word "the". You can use, this, that and anything else that would fit, but do not use "the". You can change a short story you've already written if you want, but extra points if you write something new. I want the story to flow well so it might be easier to just write something new. Again it doesn't have to be long, but I want to know if it can be done. Please, write me something even if it's hard to do. ^_^ thanks for reserving guys!

The "prompt" you mention is singular...so there's only one? Will it be broad enough for us to take wide creative reign?

Yes, the prompt is going to cover all genres of story, no limits on what you can write about (meaning I don't care if it's erotica or something). The prompt is more of a way to write the story if that makes sense. It will be very open for any creativity you would like! ^_^ I hope you enter, I want to see how people will go about accomplishing it.

when are you going to put the prompt up? I am thinking we aren't going to have much time.

I'm waiting until November 1st to put the prompt up, and with the prompt up I will probably give you guys about a week or 10 days for you to write the story, and/or edit an old story. I may put up the prompt sooner but I kind of doubt it.

Rini, I am terribly sorry but I will be taking my entry out of the contest. I unfortunately have been experiencing a lot of stress the last couple of days. I have tried my very hardest to write something, but I get nothing
