: Taylor's Brilliant Original Idea

Hi everyone! For anyone who doesn't know: I'm Taylor! This is one of my new contest ideas I want to try out.

This is how it works!

This is an invitation only contest. Hah! Sorry. What happens is this:

I am going to invite a bunch of my friends to enter. To enter, you have to get invited and then choose an option to write about, putting who nominated you in the author's notes. Easy enough? Good.

So then you enter with your story thing written, and the person that nominated you in your author's notes. Then you invite as many people as you want in here. Got that? Anyone who ENTERS this contest has free reign to invite whoever they want in, but they have to enter first, after being invited.

Pretty simple.

This is how I'm judging:

Gold: The person that has the most creative and interesting story entry thing.

Silver: The person who got the most people to enter. If you invited them but they didn't enter it doesn't count.

Bronze: My second favorite entry story thing.

HMs: Whoever I feel like giving HMs to.


Options for your entry:

1.) Write at least 80 [(nice)] words about somebody on this site. Make sure you include their screenname!

2.) Write a poem about...uh...me! Whether you know me or not. Hah. I feel selfish today

3.) Write a short story {(say, under 2,000 words)} about something having to do with twins, roses, romance, love or a brother and a sister. The more of those promts you use the better

4.) Write me something short and romantic that makes my heart melt. Short meaning...hmm...under 500 words.

5.) Write something based on something I've written. See! Told ya I felt selfish.

6.) Write something based on one of these songs: Broken, by Seether, When You Come Back Down, by Nickel Creek, She Is, How To Save A Life, or Over My Head (Cable Car), all by the Fray, any Rihanna songs, Any Ne-Yo songs, any Pink songs, Shedaisy songs, Stolen, by Dashboard Confessional, GARDIAN ANGEL, by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus or any Hannah Montana songs. [[If you have another song you'd like to write A NEW STORY about, message me with the title and the lyrics ]]

7.) Write a story about one of the following songs: The Hand Song, by Nickel Creek, or The Lighthouse's Tale, by Nickel Creek. Here are the lyrics:


The Hand Song

The Boy only wanted to give mother something
And all of her roses had bloomed
Looking at him as he came rushing in with them

The Lighthouse's Tale

I am a light house,
worn by the weather and the waves.
I keep my lamp lit,
to warn the sailors on their way.
I'll tell a story,
paint you a picture from my past.
I was so happy...
But joy in this life seldom lasts.

I had a keeper,
He helped me warn the ships at sea.
We had grown closer,
Till His joy meant everything to me.
And He was to marry,
A girl who shone with beauty and light.
And they loved each other,
And with me watched the sunsets into night.

And the waves crashing around me,
the sand slips out to the sea..
and the winds that blow reminds me,
of what has been, and what can never be.

She had to leave us,
My keeper, He prayed for her safe return.
But when the night came,
The weather to a raging storm had turned.
He watched their ship fight,
But in vain, against the wild and terrible winds.
And me, so helpless,
she dashed against the rocks, and met her rest.

And the waves crashing around me,
the sand slips out to the sea..
and the winds that blow reminds me,
of what has been, and what can never be.

Then, on the next day,
My keeper found her washed up on the shore..
He kissed her cold face,
That they'd be together soon, He swore.
I saw Him crying, watched as He buried her in the sand.
And then He climbed my tower,
and off of the edge of me, He ran.

And the waves crashing around me,
the sand slips out to the sea..
and the winds that blow reminds me,
of what has been, and what can never be.

I am a light house,
Worn by the weather and the waves,
And though I'm empty,
I still warn the sailors on their way



That's all! For now, at least. Might add more. Might not.
