Write a poem/story with one of the following titles:
"Where I Write From"
"Where I Come From"
"To The Future Me"
I personally have decided to follow my own prompts and write one of each of these, the links t which can be found below. Two of them are free-verse prose, which means that even though they are poems, they are written in prose form. So don't be fooled.
Note: personally, I like lengthy poems, and if you're writing a poem for the contest, you should know that I really enjoy reading free-verse, but submit any length poem you want! Rhyme, no rhyme, it doesn't matter, just throw your best at me!
If you're submitting a story, please keep it up to 2000 words. I don't want stories with beginnings and middles and ends as much as a description or explanation. I will, however, accept stories with plots if you wish to write a true story about something that happened in your life that greatly influenced you as a person (for where I come from) or your writing (for where I write from).
Oh, and there's a twist! All the finalists (not just those who medaled) will be invited to the next round of this contest, for which you have to pick one of the two title prompts you did not already use. Then, the finalists of
that contest will be invited to the final round, where you must use the third, final title prompt. So if you think you'll be good enough to place all the way to the end, I suggest saving your best for last.
You are most definitely not required to read my poems, but I felt I should just provide them for you as a sample of the kind of emotion I'm looking for in your work.

Good luck! And please know that I am very flexible on the rules below, so if you really want a different title, or want to write a story longer than 2000 words, just ask me and chances are I will let you.
Must have one of my title prompts as its title.

Brownie points for new writes.
My name is Zola, I am 16 years old, and I am a poet/novelist. I am not published yet, but I hope one day to be. My poetry is currently the only work I post online, but once I finish the first draft of my novel, that will be added. My poetry is written in a prose format, but don't be fooled; it's still poetry. I mostly write free-verse, with the occasional rhyming poem here and there, and all of my poetry is written from real, personal emotions and events in my life. I hope you enjoy, and can relate to some of my writing on a personal level, and I greatly appreciate any comments or criticisms you may have. Thank you.
