Contest Alphabet Morbidity. by BumpintheNightEdit

Prompt

Alright, so this is my first contest and I am quite determined to make all the gears in your skull work to win.

This is how it will work;

You will reserve a spot in the comments. There, add the letter you will be writing for. Once I see your reserved spot and letter I will think of a prompt for you beginning with that letter.

EXAMPLE: If someone reserves a spot and the letter Q. I would think of a prompt that began with that letter. Let's say.... Quarrel. Now, your job would be to write a morbid story about some sort of quarrel. Make it the most twisted creation you could possible come up with.

I don't really care if your piece is fantasy, or sci fi, or what not. I'm in this for the horror. Now, one thing you must remember is that it needs to be easy to follow. I want at least a basic plot, some character development, and good word choice. I want to be able to read your submission and, afterwards, be able to map out your exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.  Also, I don't care who wins. If you have a good story and, in the end, the bad guy comes out on top; so be it! I rather like those ones the best anyway!

Good grammar and spelling is a must. No more than 30 mistakes. I can understand typo's and accidental flum-up's but absolutely no text talk (Unless your character is texting; but make it readable!). nO T4lK1nG Li3k Dis. iT Issnt Gr8.

It's only obnoxious and you will be instantly kicked from this contest.

With your reserved spot I would like you to place Morbidity Is Originality at the bottom of your request. This is purely to make sure you all have read everything.

Rules

  • Don't ask for a prompt and ditch the contest because it's too hard. That is just no fun at all.
  • Good grammar and spelling is a must. Typo's are understandable.
  • If English is not your primary language and you are not particularly good at typing in said language, just tell me. I will make an exception to the good grammar rule. English is not my primary language either. I'm from Russia. At first, typing was very difficult for me. I would constantly get booted out of contests, on my other account that is no longer in use, because I would have way to many mistakes. Don't be afraid to tell me. I will understand.
  • Horror and macabre is a must. Don't give me something fruity.
  • Think outside of the box. If your prompt is Storm and you really want to write in the point of view of a mouse; go ahead. But only as long as there are very freaky parts in it. *Wink*
  • After you get your prompt, there is no going back. Don't try to change it because you don't like it. I wont allow it. You are stuck with the prompt I give you.
  • I will read every single entry I get and comment. I will be as thorough as possible on my comments. I'm really not trying to be rude. I'm trying to help those who need it.
