I won gold in obfuscate's contest, and so here I am paying it forward. I dont have a lot of points, but c'est la vie.
Reserve first.
After 10 entries, I'll give you prompts. At least 4 of them, and they'll be...interesting. I love GLBT anything, main characters with huge flaws, and all that is disfunctional. Also, emotion is a big bonus.
Good luck!
OK, prompts!
1) The main character is in a coma. I'd like you to write this in first person. The coma patient could be aware, or just lost in memories and dreams. Either way.
2) A woman discovering she's terminally ill. Please don't make this sappy. I put this up here to see anger and losing faith and depression, not telling people you love them, or accepting God.
3) Make breakdowns beautiful. I dont care how.
4) Falling In love with an object or a symbol. Please make this good.
Alright! Good luck! You 4 days, so until Sunday night, 9 pm EST.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on October 17, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 125, Silver: 75, Bronze: 40, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: I was rather disappointed that so many people dropped out or didn't enter despite my messages. For the five that did, thanks so much. You were all great. The HMs are in no particular order.
For the Gold winner, the characters were real and the plot was stunning.
Silver had amazing description, great language, and symbolism throughout the entire piece.
Bronze had a great piece in general. The characters personified so well and the breakdown was great.
HM: Guilty Pleasure had such a great sense of humor. It was short but really good.
HM: The Tale of Yumi and the Sword Shahla was great. I liked the characters, the background information, and the descriptions of Yumi.
Great job all of you.

''Make breakdowns beautiful''
._.
hm? -
Breakdowns, as in mental breakdowns? Emotional breakdowns? Or are we meant to take creative rein with the term "breakdown"?
-
-
Mm... both are good. I just want something that makes any kind of breakdown beautiful. So, i dont care how you do this. I want you to have free reign with that.
