Music

Since on my last contest, I didn't get any entries for the categories that I REALLY wanted to read stories about...I decided to make those options into an entirely different contest...So here we go...

I want a story about MUSIC. Not one based on a song, but one that centers around music. I am partial to stories about a marching or concert band or dance - but anything along those lines is good! In fact, if you want to write a story based on a piece of classical or instrumental music, I suppose that's alright too. Have fun!

RULES:
1. Don't write like you are two years old. So NoNe Of ThIs PlEaSe (it's just annoying and I have no idea how you can write it...)
2. Try to use correct grammar and spelling. I know it's not always possible, but please make it readable.
3. No erotica or adult content -- I'm almost old enough, not yet though
4. Have fun!

Good luck to everyone and I want to see lots of great stories!

****Edit******
I would much prefer stories about instrumental music (marching band, concert band, orchestra, piano, etc.) than about a rock band. I won't disqualify you, but you won't have as much of a chance of winning if you enter a rock band story.

If you need more time, just let me know...I want to see as many stories as possible, and if it means keeping this contest up until January, than so be it!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 13, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 3 people
  • Final notes:
I'm sorry that it took so long - but marching season is finally over!!

If I missed commenting on anyone's piece (or you have made a revision and want me to revisit it) I will be glad to do so...I probably just missed it...

I got so many good entries (ranging from piano themed ones to violins to guitars) that this was very hard for me to pick winners.

But the clear winner was Canto - I suggest that everyone read it, it was spectacular!

    Congratulations to the winners!
