Here’s the deal. I’ve listed thirty different characters below. Your job is to incorporate at least one of these characters into your story. That’s pretty much it, although you can use more than one character if you want bonus points. I’m okay with pretty much every type of story, from gay/lesbian/bi/transsexual to murder/mystery. I believe every one of these characters has a story behind them, and who better to tell that story than you?
But possibly you’ve already written their story? That’s exactly the reason I’m allowing pre-writes.
So here’s the list:
-A teenager afraid to say what he/she thinks. This character stutters a lot, because of something he/she is scared of, or something that happened in his/her past.
-A mother/father with heavy addiction problems. The type of addiction is up to the author… in other words, you.
-Someone with a very short attention span. They change the subject as soon as it becomes uncomfortable.
-A kid/teenager obsessed with pain.
-A boy/girl who has never uttered a word, for whatever reason.
-A mother or father with a big secret.
-A teenager who can speak to animals.
-A pedophile school bus driver.
-A kid/adult who’ll eat anything.
-A kid/adult who will eat nothing.
-A character with special abilities.
-A character in a coma.
-A vampire who refuses to drink other human’s blood but is getting weak without it (idea inspired by Darren Shan =D)
-A parent who’s son/daughter is kidnapped because of something horrible they did.
-A character who cannot hold a relationship.
-A character who can turn invisible at will.
-A character with a really bad habit.
-A character with a very uncommon fear of something very common (example: air, water, germs, etc.)
-A boy in love with a lesbian or a girl in love with a gay guy.
-A character who has to move far away and leave all his/her friends behind.
-A middle child; forgotten and possibly facing severe depression.
-A character who has to face being blind or deaf.
-A character who’s life is in complete disarray, yet they still seem grateful and happy.
-A boy/girl who’s parents are constantly arguing and/or abusing them.
-A teacher with extreme anger management problems.
-A guy/girl who is romantic most of the time, but will change into a jerk at any given time.
-A teenage employee who cannot stand to work with others.
-A boy/girl or a parent who constantly picks fights with others.
-A teenager facing life imprisonment for something they didn’t do.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 8, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 150, Silver: 30, Bronze: 20
- Final notes: Excellent contest as always. I wasn't sure whether I should make 'Poison' win gold or silver, because it WAS really good. However, I think the gold and silver tied really, and the bronze came about the other fourteen stories.
Keep entering my contests everyone, haha, please?
